Kuala lumpur: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh emphasized the significance of resident associations' perspectives in shaping urban governance decisions. She highlighted that the feedback received from these groups will undergo thorough scrutiny to ensure that any actions taken deliver concrete benefits to the residents.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hannah Yeoh stated that these inputs would serve as a guideline for setting future urban governance priorities. She extended an invitation to professionals and experts to contribute their ideas, aiming to enhance effective planning and implementation in urban management.
Hannah recently convened a joint meeting with the Save Kuala Lumpur (Save KL) group and the Kuala Lumpur Community Sustainability Welfare Association (KLRA+SD), which collectively represent more than 80 associations across Kuala Lumpur. A key focus of the discussion was flood mitigation strategies, particularly the protection and maintenance of flood retention ponds essential for the city's flood management.
Hannah reiterated her commitment to strengthening flood prevention measures and ensuring the adherence to good governance practices, aligning with the needs and feedback from the local communities.
