Kuala lumpur: About 1,500 religious leaders, scholars, academics, and policymakers from 31 countries will gather at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) tomorrow for the 3rd International Summit of Religious Leaders 2026, to discuss global peace, social harmony, and youth development. Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) director-general Datuk Dr Sirajuddin Suhaimee stated that the summit, organized in collaboration with the Muslim World League (MWL), reflects international confidence in Malaysia's role in promoting moderation, unity, and dialogue.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the summit aims to foster peace, harmony, and mutual understanding in diverse societies, while strengthening Malaysia's position as a trusted platform for global dialogue on community development and universal well-being. 'It also reflects a shared commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence, strengthening social harmony, and empowering youth as strategic partners in building resilient and inclusive communities,' Suhaimee said in a statement today.

The summit will be officiated by the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, and will also be attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, MWL Secretary-General Datuk Seri Sheikh Dr Mohammad Abdul Kareem Al-Issa, Cabinet ministers, and international delegates.
