Kuala lumpur: Graduates of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) who have not yet secured employment are urged to take advantage of the MYFutureJobs portal to enhance their job prospects. Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan emphasized the role of the portal, provided by the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO), in offering job opportunities from employers across the country and serving as a platform for graduates to launch their careers.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ramanan highlighted that if finding a job is challenging, graduates should apply via the MYFutureJobs portal provided by the Ministry of Human Resources. He made these remarks while speaking to reporters after attending the convocation ceremony of the Advanced Technology College (ADTEC) of the Human Resources Department (JTM).
Ramanan assured that the government will continue to assist TVET graduates in securing jobs that match their qualifications and skills, aligning with the industry's demand for skilled labor. He also noted that ADTEC JTM graduates enjoy industry recognition, with an employability rate of 95.5 percent and an employer satisfaction level of 97.2 percent.
He emphasized that the training provided by ADTEC JTM meets industry needs, describing it as a government gem that deserves recognition. Regarding starting salaries, Ramanan stated that income varies based on job sector and location, with some graduates earning more than RM4,000 per month in fields such as maritime, which offer allowances and foreign currency payments.
Ramanan also mentioned that major companies such as Perodua, Huawei, and 7-Eleven are among the employers offering job opportunities to ADTEC JTM graduates, indicating industry confidence in the quality of training provided by the institution.
Earlier, Ramanan attended the first session of the ADTEC JTM Convocation Ceremony, which celebrated 637 graduates out of approximately 1,400 graduates. Overall, 8,255 graduates from 33 JTM campuses and two satellite campuses across the country received certificates and diplomas at this year's convocation ceremony, held in several sessions.
