Pahang: The Pahang government has extended financial aid to 11-year-old racing prodigy Al-Adam Mikail Mohd Hamirul Aliff, to bring fame to the state and country on the international stage at the FIM MiniGP World Final championship in the 160cc class in Valencia, Spain. Pahang Communications and Multimedia, Youth, Sports and NGOs Committee chairman Fadzli Mohamad Kamal said the assistance is to lift the racer’s spirit as he will be racing in the World Series Final in Spain in mid-November.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the assistance was presented to the Pahang-born racer at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Administration Centre (PPSAS). Fadzli referred to the donation as “pocket money” for Al-Adam Mikail to compete on the world stage and highlighted that the state government had previously supported him as encouragement.
In the past three years, the state government has helped the racer several times, leading to significant achievements, including becoming the FIM MiniGP Malaysia champion for the 160cc category. Fadzli emphasized the importance of supporting young people’s involvement in motorsports to build character and engage them in healthy activities.
Meanwhile, Al-Adam Mikail shared that all preparations have been thoroughly carried out, with rigorous training sessions almost daily at the Gong Badak circuit in Terengganu. He hopes his efforts will yield future success. Accompanied by his father Mohd Hamirul Aliff Abd Halim, Al-Adam Mikail, the youngest of three siblings, will travel to Spain this Wednesday, prepared to face the challenges posed by the chilly European weather.
Al-Adam Mikail remains focused and aims to perform his best to bring glory to the country, seeking prayers from everyone for his success. He will compete against more than 40 top riders from 23 countries in the qualifying round starting on Nov 14 before advancing to the final round.
