Kuala Lumpur:Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris: Two former students of Politeknik Sultan Azlan Shah (PSAS) were honored posthumously at the 2026 Central Zone Polytechnic and Community College Convocation Ceremony held at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the awards were presented in recognition of the students' contributions and legacy during their time at the institution. Muhammad Farhan Misron @ Misni from the Electrical Engineering Department and Muhammad Ukasyah Fathi Nor Azrri from the Civil Engineering Department were the recipients.

Muhammad Farhan, who passed away due to leukaemia and severe pneumonia, was noted for his active involvement in robotics and technology. He brought significant recognition to PSAS, including a first-place win in the HuroCup Spartan Race Kid category and a second-place finish in the HuroCup Kid Basketball category at the FIRA RoboWorld Cup and Summit 2023 in Germany. He also competed in the FIRA Malaysia Cup in 2023 and 2024 across various events.

In addition to his competitive successes, Muhammad Farhan contributed as a facilitator for a technology transfer program within the local community and at the Felda Sungai Behrang Digital Economy Centre.

Muhammad Ukasyah was remembered for his friendly, responsible, and dedicated nature, serving as a class representative. He died in a road accident while heading to a lecture at PSAS.

The posthumous awards, considered the highest symbol of respect from the institution, were accepted by the students' families during the fourth session of the convocation. Additionally, diplomas were conferred to 897 PSAS graduates by Proton Holdings Berhad's deputy chief executive, Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa, and Construction Industry Development Board chief executive, Ahmad Farrin Mokhtar.
