PM Anwar Offers Financial Aid to Family of Tambun Crash Victims

Tambun:Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended RM2,000 in initial financial aid to the family of three siblings involved in a road accident on Jalan Perpaduan, Tambun, resulting in the deaths of two and leaving one seriously injured. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the financial contribution was delivered by Muhammad Izzudin Hariz Bohari from the Tambun Parliamentary Community Service Centre on behalf of Anwar, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Tambun. The Prime Minister instructed the centre to provide direct assistance to the family, expressing his condolences and offering support to ease their burden. The tragic accident occurred at approximately 7.20 am, claiming the lives of a 19-year-old girl and her nine-year-old sister. A third sibling, aged 12, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital. Nurul Aeina Ibrahim, the eldest sister of the victims, recounted learning about the accident from the siblings' school t eacher around 8 am. Initially unaware of the fatalities, she discovered the tragic news upon arriving at the accident scene. The deceased sisters, Elyana Nasuha and Suhaila, were laid to rest in a common grave at the Tambun Muslim Cemetery at about 6.30 pm. The surviving sister, Norhayati Qaliesha, remains in critical condition and has not yet been informed of her siblings' deaths. Syamsul Hazeman Md Salleh, chief executive officer of the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk), announced that MAIPk would cover the funeral expenses and provide necessary support to the surviving sister. The council routinely assists families unable to afford funeral costs and those without next of kin.
