Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has highlighted the importance of equitable development, emphasizing that the benefits of progress should be accessible to all Malaysians, ensuring no group is left behind.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, in his Federal Territory Day message, the Prime Minister pointed out that national development should not be assessed solely through physical achievements like high-rise buildings, infrastructure, and modern amenities. Instead, the focus should also be on positively impacting the lives and welfare of the people.
Anwar stated, "Every step forward must be anchored in justice and the needs of society." He emphasized that development efforts should ensure that prosperity is shared equitably among all Malaysians.
He further added that the core values of compassion, mutual respect, and togetherness, which are central to the MADANI Government, will continue to be reinforced to maintain harmony, stability, and well-being.
Concluding his message, he extended his wishes for Federal Territory Day to all residents of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan, regions where the day is celebrated annually on February 1.
