Perak State Assembly Announces Three-Day Session for September

Ipoh: The Second Meeting of the Fourth Year of the 15th Perak State Legislative Assembly is scheduled to convene for three days, from September 8 to 10.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak State Assembly Speaker Datuk Seri Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid announced that the session would include a 90-minute oral question-and-answer segment. During this meeting, the state government plans to present two bills. These bills aim to amend the Members of the Administration and State Assemblymen (Remuneration) Enactment and the Administration of the Religion of Islam (Perak) Enactment.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad is set to introduce both bills, as stated during a press conference about the forthcoming assembly session. Present at the briefing were Deputy Speaker Jenny Choy Tsi Jen and State Assembly secretary Mohd Ikram Ahmad. Additionally, Mohammad Zahir mentioned that Saarani is anticipated to propose a motion concerning the election of the state's representative to the Dewan Negara.

For those unable to attend in person, the proceedings will be livestreamed on the Perak State Assembly's YouTube channel. The session will also be accessible through the Perak State Assembly portal, the official state government portal, and the Perak State Secretary's Office Facebook page.
