Kuantan: The Pahang government has announced a revenue collection of RM921.72 million as of August 26, according to Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail. This figure represents 72 percent of the state's total revenue target of RM1.279 billion set for 2026.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Wan Rosdy shared these details at the Pahang State Legislative Assembly session held at Wisma Sri Pahang. He addressed a question from Datuk Mohd Sharim Md Zain (BN-Chini) regarding the state's key achievements for 2026 in terms of economic performance, revenue collection, and the Pahang 1st agenda.

The Menteri Besar highlighted that Pahang's economic growth remains robust, with the state's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increasing to RM71 billion in 2025, up from RM68.8 billion the previous year. Additionally, as of August 2026, the state government recorded RM11.47 billion in committed investments, with RM1.044 billion realized.

Wan Rosdy emphasized that the stable financial position, coupled with strong economic and social development, has allowed the state government to continue providing direct benefits to its residents. The positive economic performance has enabled the allocation of RM173.93 million for the Makmur Pahang Initiative (IM Pahang) from 2024 to 2026, with increments planned for subsequent years.

He stated that the allocation for IM Pahang included RM38.8 million in 2024, RM50.54 million in 2025, and a rise to RM84.59 million in 2026. Furthermore, the state government plans to increase this allocation in the forthcoming Pahang State Budget.
