Melaka: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has not determined a specific timeframe for Deputy President Nurul Izzah Anwar's leave from her party duties, as she has expressed intentions to pursue further studies. PKR Secretary-General Senator Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh confirmed that the party is prepared to welcome Nurul Izzah back whenever she feels ready to resume her responsibilities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fuziah outlined that Nurul Izzah would officially begin her leave following the party's National Congress. However, she will continue to fulfill her duties during the three-day event, including officiating at the Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) and Wanita Congress, participating in debate and winding-up sessions, and delivering her closing remarks.

Fuziah shared these details at a press conference after the opening of the 2026 National Congress of AMK and Wanita PKR, which took place at the Melaka International Trade Centre in Ayer Keroh. Nurul Izzah officiated the event, marking her ongoing commitment to her current responsibilities.

In addition, Fuziah mentioned that the PKR President's policy speech is anticipated to cover the party's struggles, future direction, and institutional reform agenda. Delegates will have the opportunity to decide on which motions to bring forward for debate, including those focused on strengthening the party.
