Seremban:The Negeri Sembilan UMNO Liaison Committee meeting held today did not address a no-confidence motion against Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim, as confirmed by Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Jalaluddin, who chairs the Negeri Sembilan UMNO Liaison Committee, stated that the meeting instead concentrated on party matters and the current political landscape in the state. The meeting was attended by 25 Barisan Nasional (BN) assemblymen, state UMNO committee members, and division chiefs, including Ismail.
Jalaluddin reassured that administrative responsibilities remain under Ismail’s purview, while his own focus is on maintaining political stability within the state. He emphasized the importance of support from elected representatives to help the state government fulfill its duties toward the welfare and development of the communities they serve.
In an unrelated development, Jalaluddin addressed reports of a meeting between two Perikatan Nasional (PN) assemblymen and Tunku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja’afar at Istana Serting in Jempol, clarifying that no BN assemblymen were involved in that meeting.
