Iran Keeps Strait Of Hormuz Closed Until US Meets Conditions

Tehran:Iran has declared that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States agrees to Tehran's terms, asserting control over the strategic waterway. Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, spokesperson for Iran's Armed Forces, stated this during a ceremony in Pishva County, Tehran Province, as reported by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, General Akraminia emphasized Iran's military readiness following past confrontations with the United States and the Israeli regime. He highlighted that the Iranian Army, Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Law Enforcement Command have bolstered their preparedness, backed by public support, to maintain control over the Strait, a critical passage for global oil transport.

General Akraminia issued a warning that any renewed US aggression would be met with a swift response, noting that American bases and interests in the Persian Gulf and beyond are within reach of Iranian drones and missiles. He underscored that the Iranian forces would act upon orders from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, to respond decisively without geographic limits.

He further mentioned that the United States had incurred direct war costs exceeding $48 billion, with indirect losses expected to persist. Additionally, he referenced Republican electoral setbacks and protests in Europe while citing 251 nights of public gatherings that have reinforced national unity in Iran.
