Kuala Lumpur:Menos AI has announced the completion of a $5.1 million Pre-A financing round, increasing its total funding to over $10 million. The funding round was led by Copper Sky Capital, with additional investment from Alpha Square Group.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company, which launched its Sonar research agent in August 2025, has expanded its focus to enterprise AI infrastructure. Menos AI collaborates with some of the world's largest asset managers and hedge funds, providing a platform that integrates proprietary research, portfolio data, and investment workflows.
William Wu, Co-founder and CEO of Menos AI, explained that the company is developing a context layer that helps asset managers transform investment reasoning into testable hypotheses. This platform is designed to enable AI agents to utilize firms' expertise effectively.
Menos AI's infrastructure aims to automate research, reporting, and operations, thereby enhancing investment and client service capacities without proportionally increasing costs. This initiative is part of their strategy to build a secure, private, and traceable context layer for asset managers.
Jack Selby, Managing Director at Thiel Capital, led the investment for Copper Sky. Selby stated that their continued support of Menos AI is based on the belief that the context layer will be essential infrastructure for future asset managers.
