Malaysia-turkiye: Malaysia-Turkiye relations, which are currently at the level of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, continue to serve as an important platform for expanding cooperation across various strategic sectors, said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The Prime Minister said this includes trade and investment, the defence industry, technology, education and people-to-people ties.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized the importance of strengthening the close relationship between Malaysia and Turkiye to ensure peace, regional stability, and prosperity that benefits the people of both countries. He expressed these sentiments in a Facebook post following a farewell courtesy call from Turkiye's Ambassador to Malaysia, Emir Salim Yuksel.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Anwar and Ambassador Yuksel exchanged views on current regional and global issues and discussed ongoing efforts to reinforce the strong ties between the two nations. Anwar also conveyed his appreciation for Emir Salim's contributions during his tenure, which have helped fortify the longstanding friendship and bilateral relations rooted in mutual respect and shared benefit.
