MACC Awaits Isa Samad’s Recovery to Resume Statement Recording

Kuala Lumpur:The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is set to continue recording the statement of Datuk Seri Isa Samad, the former chairman of FELDA, following his recovery from a medical procedure.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman stated that Isa Samad is currently receiving treatment at Serdang Hospital after undergoing eye surgery. The recording of Isa's statement was initially planned for yesterday and today but has been postponed due to his health condition. The MACC is awaiting an update on his health status from the Prisons Department before proceeding.

The MACC had previously recorded Isa's statement at Sungai Buloh Prison on September 17 as part of investigations into the Op Fella case. Commissioner Abdul Halim indicated that the statement concerns the purchase and investment of assets by FELDA and Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FICSB), which are under scrutiny for potential corruption and misappropriation.
