Kelantan KPDN Seizes Products Worth RM4.7 Mln In 2025

Kelantan: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) seized products worth almost RM4.7 million from enforcement actions in Kelantan throughout this year. Kelantan KPDN director Azman Ismail said 98,842 inspections were carried out and compounds of RM800,050 issued, with 1,355 cases and 220 arrests for various offences recorded, and 37 cases having been charged in court with fines totalling RM216,000.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a total of 89,280.61 litres of petrol worth RM193,544.83 were seized, along with 35,598 litres of diesel worth RM93,679.29. Azman shared this information with reporters after attending the Festive Season Maximum Price Scheme (SHMMP) for Christmas 2025 launch at Mydin Supermarket, Tunjong.

He also shared that Kelantan KPDN seized 42,562 kilogrammes of subsidised cooking oil worth RM106,275.40, 6,656 kilograms of sugar worth RM19,127.97, 3,974.20 kilograms of wheat flour worth RM12,187.52 and 2,332 kilograms of liquified petroleum gas worth RM4,569.

Additionally, Azman noted that 32 supermarkets in the state had participated in the three-day RAHMAH MADANI Sales programme, which will end this Thursday in conjunction with Christmas celebrations. Furthermore, 43 supermarkets signed up for the RAHMAH MADANI Back-to-School Sales programme.
