Nga: RM20 Million Allocated To Resurface 400 Roads In Ipoh Residential Areas

Nga: The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) has allocated RM20 million to Ipoh City Council (MBI) to carry out resurfacing works on 400 roads in the city’s residential areas. Minister Nga Kor Ming announced that this special approval was granted by the Ministry of Finance after KPKT’s success in initiatives aimed at enhancing the community’s quality of life, such as the MADANI Recreational Parks, which have been established at over 200 locations nationwide.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister Nga emphasized the importance of conducting a cost-benefit analysis when appointing contractors for the project. He stated that the contracts would be awarded to those offering the most attractive proposals with the best quality of work. The resurfacing of the 400 roads is expected to commence soon and be fully completed by Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Nga further mentioned that KPKT is committed to ensuring that each project is implemented to a high standard. This will allow the benefits to be directly felt by the public, ensuring that roads in residential areas remain safe for use. The ministry estimates that resurfacing a single road in a residential area will cost around RM50,000.
