Machang:Kelantan: The state government of Kelantan has allocated RM85,200 to support Pasar Awam Machang traders with rental costs for the first three months at their new location.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud announced that this financial assistance aims to alleviate the traders' burdens during their transition, covering relocation expenses and potential sales declines as they adjust to the new environment.

The assistance underscores the state government's commitment to the welfare of traders, who play a crucial role in the local economy by supplying daily essentials to the community. The initiative is intended to ease the financial pressure on traders, particularly concerning rental expenses during the early stages of their new operations.

The Bandar Seri Mentara development spans 23.58 acres, valued at approximately RM70 million, and includes 169 two-story shop and office units, a supermarket, wet and dry market, a bus stop, and a surau. This new township is designed to offer a structured, modern business environment, generating business and job opportunities for the local population.

Mohd Nassuruddin emphasized that the facilities within this development are expected to invigorate economic activities and improve incomes for those residing in the Machang district.
