Johor bahru: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) registered their biggest win this season by defeating Kelantan The Real Warriors (TRW) 14-1 in their last Super League match of this season at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium tonight. The win caps a stellar season for JDT, who claimed their 12th consecutive Super League title with an unbeaten run, equaling the world record for most unbeaten league matches of 108, a record held by Ivory Coast club ASEC Mimosas since 1994.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, JDT displayed dominance over their opponents, scoring eight goals in the first half and another six in the second half, while Kelantan TRW managed only one goal in reply. Bergson Da Silva was the standout performer, netting six goals in the 1st, 11th, 36th, 41st, 52nd, and 83rd minutes, bringing his season tally to 27 goals. Manuel Hidalgo contributed a hattrick with goals in the 16th, 25th, and 62nd minutes. Other contributors included Antonio Glauder (18th minute), Stuart Wilkin (38th minute), Yago Cesar (50th minute), Mohamed Syamer Kutty Abba (85th minute), and Teto Martin (88th minute). Kelantan TRW's only goal came from Muhammad Farris Izdiham Awang Kechik in the 64th minute.
In another match, Negeri Sembilan FC managed to secure a dramatic 2-2 draw against Kuala Lumpur City FC at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Cheras. The visitors took the lead with a penalty scored by team captain Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee in the 16th minute.
