Putrajaya: National songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Taruddin felt deeply honoured and humbled to perform the theme song at the 2025 National Day celebration at Dataran Putrajaya this morning.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Malaysia’s number one singer admitted on her official Facebook page that she never expected to receive the offer despite having been in the music industry for three decades. At 46, after 30 years in the music industry, Siti Nurhaliza expressed her surprise and gratitude for being offered the chance to perform the 2025 National Day song. She humbly accepted the offer as such songs hold a special place in her heart and career portfolio.
Siti Nurhaliza, who was honoured with the ‘Anugerah Khas Biduan Negara 2024’, emphasized the importance of preserving the unity of Malaysia’s multiracial society. She expressed her gratitude for being Malaysian and highlighted the significance of maintaining harmony among people of all races, which she believes is a testament to the country’s uniqueness and beauty.
She also thanked the Ministry of Communications for trusting her to perform the song titled ‘Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni’. The song was composed by Datuk Mokhzani Ismail, with music arranged by young composer Affan Mazlan.
During the National Day 2025 parade, Siti Nurhaliza performed the National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) 2025 theme song following the recitation of the Rukun Negara pledge. Her performance was accompanied by a vibrant display by the National Department for Culture and Arts troupe, school students, and a ‘human terrace’ formation.
