Kuala lumpur: PKR deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar is inviting PKR elected representatives and those with means to donate their RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) to those in need. She emphasized the importance of this act of giving, highlighting its potential impact on the lives of those who are struggling.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nurul Izzah, along with Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, who is also Gombak MP, has agreed to initiate a ‘Pass It Forward’ campaign. She remarked that while RM100 might seem insignificant to those who are financially secure, it holds substantial value for those in need, as it can help provide meals for families and children experiencing hunger.
Nurul Izzah further expressed that the spirit of Merdeka, or independence, should not just be a slogan but a shared effort. She urged for collective action to ensure that no one is neglected and that everyone has the right to have a meal on their table. Her message was conveyed via a Facebook post, where she also extended wishes for a happy 68th National Day to all Malaysians.
The SARA assistance is designed as a one-off cash aid available to all Malaysians aged 18 and above without the need for application. This aid is accessible at over 7,000 registered business premises across the country and is valid until December 31.
