Highway Users Encouraged to Use TuJu App for Aidilfitri Travel: Ahmad

Penggaram: Highway users are encouraged to use the latest application developed by the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), TuJu, in conjunction with Aidilfitri celebrations next week, as an alternative to avoid congestion. Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Maslan said the application can be used as a reference before starting a journey, as it provides various highway-related information, including navigation.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Maslan emphasized that TuJu was developed to enhance safety, route efficiency, and comfort for users. The app is integrated with 33 CCTV cameras owned by LLM, allowing users to access real-time highway conditions. The application is equipped with smart navigation features, such as accurate navigation, real-time toll and traffic information, rest and service area facilities, live CCTV camera access, and emergency assistance.

Ahmad highlighted that TuJu serves as an alternative initiative combining technology and safety to ensure a smoother, faster, and safer travel experience. He shared these insights when met by reporters at a breaking-of-fast event and food basket presentation to asnaf in the Penggaram area in Taman Melodi.

The application can be downloaded via Google Play Store and Apple App Store, enabling motorists to plan their travel time accordingly, to avoid being stuck for hours before reaching their destination. Ahmad noted that the application will greatly facilitate highway users, allowing them to plan when to leave home and make necessary travel arrangements.

Regarding the Smart Lane operation activated during Aidilfitri, Ahmad mentioned that it would be implemented based on the needs and traffic conditions on the highways to ensure smoother journeys for users. He added that the public can refer to the Smart Lane operations on the Ministry of Works website as well as PLUS, including the locations where it is implemented.
