Sarawak: The dedication and sacrifices of the pilot and Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel who died in the Sarawak Flying Doctor Service (FDS) helicopter crash yesterday will always be remembered. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, in a Facebook post, extended his condolences to the victims' families and prayed that they would be granted strength, patience, and resilience in facing the loss.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims over the loss of their loved ones in this tragedy. He noted the victims died while carrying out their duties to provide healthcare services to communities in rural areas.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof also expressed his condolences, highlighting the significant contributions the victims made while serving communities in challenging and remote areas. Fadillah emphasized their commitment to ensuring rural communities received healthcare services despite difficult conditions, reflecting their dedication to duty.

Fadillah acknowledged the immense contributions and sacrifices of the victims, stating they will always be remembered. He extended his condolences to the families and next-of-kin affected by the tragedy, wishing them strength, patience, and resilience during this difficult period.

The FDS helicopter crash occurred near Long Lellang Short Take-Off and Landing Airport (STOLport) yesterday afternoon, claiming the lives of a pilot and four MOH personnel.
