Long lellang: Nurse Debra Moset, 40, one of the victims of the Flying Doctor Service helicopter crash in Long Lellang, was remembered as a cheerful person who cherished her family and had a passion for cooking.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Debra's younger brother, Morgan Moset, 39, recalled that there were no unusual signs when he last saw her. Debra appeared cheerful and spent quality time with the family during her last visit home. Morgan, who is the youngest of five siblings, received the devastating news of the crash from his elder brother while he was at work.

Morgan shared, "I heard the news from my brother, who told me that the helicopter Debra was travelling in had crashed. I was certain Debra was on that flight because she was scheduled to be on duty at the time." Speaking to reporters at his home in Kampung Semadang, Padawan, he added that Debra, who had been working in Miri for over a decade, never missed an opportunity to return to their hometown whenever she was on leave, even if for just a short visit.

Morgan reminisced about their close relationship, noting that he and Debra, only a year apart, often spent time together since childhood. He fondly remembered her love for cooking, especially her homemade beef rendang, which was a family favorite during festive occasions like Christmas and Gawai Dayak. Her culinary skills were cherished by her family, with her children particularly fond of her curry.

In the aftermath of the tragic event, it was reported by Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah that the identities of the victims have been confirmed. They include pilot Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, 30; medical officer Dr. Ainul Baraah Kamaruddin, 33; medical assistant Alexson Adit Henry, 31; and two nurses, Debra Moset, 40, and Jessie Paya Jok, 44.
