Kuala Lumpur: A total of 1,175 projects worth more than RM12.47 billion have been undertaken to rebuild dilapidated schools across the nation since 2016, as reported by the Education Ministry.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ministry stated that 739 of these projects have been fully completed, with 258 in Sarawak, 229 in Sabah, and 252 in the peninsula. Additionally, 203 projects are currently under construction, while 233 projects are at the pre-construction stage.
This year, the MADANI government has approved the rebuilding of 122 dilapidated schools nationwide, marking the highest number of approvals in the last five years. The Education Ministry emphasizes its commitment to providing the best access to education for the benefit of students and the community.
The ministry is actively addressing the issue of dilapidated schools to ensure prompt action is taken.
