Kota bharu: The General Operations Force (GOF) arrested 15 illegal immigrants from Myanmar in a raid on a house in Jalan Pasir Mas Salor, Kampung Kota, here early today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Southeast Brigade GOF Commander, SAC Ahmad Radzi Hussain, stated that the arrests were made at 4 am by a team from the 7th Battalion through Op Taring Wawasan Kelantan. Acting on information, the police conducted a raid on a house along Jalan Pasir Mas Salor and arrested the foreign nationals, comprising 13 men and two women aged between 19 and 37.

Ahmad Radzi reported that all of the individuals failed to produce valid travel documents. He mentioned that the foreigners were referred to the Criminal Investigation Division at Kota Bharu District Police Headquarters for further action. The case is being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.

He also urged the public to provide information to the authorities regarding any smuggling activities in their respective areas to ensure that the country is not invaded by elements of illegal activities.
