Giant Destina Putrajaya Offers Up To 50% Discount On F&B For Civil Servants And Retirees

Putrajaya: Civil servants and government retirees can now enjoy discounts of up to 50 per cent on selected food and beverage items at Uncle Jack Fried Chicken, Kyojin Sushi, and Mercato Caf© and Bakery in Giant Destina Putrajaya until August 31.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the special offer by GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd comes in conjunction with the official opening of Giant Hypermarket at Destina Putrajaya on August 13. This initiative is a gesture of appreciation for the services and contributions of the civil service to the nation.

The Public Service Department (JPA) stated that to avail of the offer, civil servants need only show their employee pass, while government retirees can present their physical retiree card or digital card through the MyPesara app. "The collaboration with GCH Retail (Malaysia) also expands the strategic network under MyPesara Plus, a JPA initiative that gives government retirees access to various benefits and privileges resulting from partnerships with strategic partners," JPA added.

MyPesara Plus was introduced by JPA on July 24, in collaboration with Retirement Fund (Incorporated) (KWAP), to extend benefits to government retirees through the involvement of the private sector, public sector, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Since its launch, MyPesara Plus has gathered 33 strategic partners offering a wide range of benefits and privileges to government retirees, including food and beverages, healthcare, protection, and other services.

Government retirees can access information on the latest offers and privileges from strategic partners via the MyPesara app, making the platform a more convenient channel to access available benefits. Meanwhile, JPA mentioned it would continue to explore collaborations with the private sector, public sector, and NGOs to develop a more comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable retiree benefits ecosystem to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of government retirees remain a priority.
