Kuala Lumpur:The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended the session lower on Thursday, affected by a weaker spot market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the new spot month for October 2026 decreased by 28 points to 1,613.5. The November 2026 contract remained at 1,616.0, while the December 2026 contract dropped 29.5 points to 1,621.0. Additionally, the March 2027 contract experienced a decline of 28.5 points, closing at 1,606.0.
Overall turnover witnessed a decline, falling to 10,278 lots from the previous day's 10,947 lots. Open interest also showed a decrease, contracting to 48,257 contracts compared to 51,407 contracts previously.
At the close of trading at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI had fallen by 20.81 points, or 1.26 percent, reaching 1,630.36, down from Wednesday's close of 1,651.17.
