Former FELDA Officials to Face Charges in KLVC Misappropriation Case

Kuala Lumpur:Two individuals under investigation for alleged misappropriation related to the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City (KLVC) project, associated with FELDA, are set to be charged next week, as announced by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the individuals involved are a former FELDA general manager and a former chief executive officer of the Felda Investment Committee, also known as the Felda Investment Commission. The Attorney General has approved charges against both individuals. The former general manager is facing one charge under Section 420, scheduled to be presented in court on September 30.

The former chief executive officer will face two charges under Section 417, with the proceedings set for September 29. This information was disclosed during a press conference following the Fifth National Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Research Conference.

The KLVC investigation is part of seven investigation papers concerning FELDA and FELDA Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FIC), including six new and one ongoing investigation. These focus on asset purchases and investments by FELDA and FIC between 2010 and 2020, suspected to involve corruption, misappropriation, and abuse of power.
