Ayer Keroh:Parti Wawasan Negara chairman Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Rais Yatim arrived at the Ayer Keroh Court Complex today, where he is expected to be charged under the Sedition Act.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Rais arrived at 840 am, accompanied by his wife, Puan Sri Masnah Muhamat, and his son Danni Rais, who serves as the Klawang state assemblyman. The charges are anticipated to be presented before Judge Raja Noor Adilla Raja Mahyaldin.
On July 30, Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir ordered the immediate revocation of the Darjah Seri Utama Negeri Sembilan and Darjah Dato' Setia Negeri Sembilan awards that were previously conferred on Rais. Registrar of Orders Datuk Moha Zafir Ibrahim stated that the withdrawal of the honors, granted in 2001 and 1979, was intended to preserve the dignity, sanctity, and honor of the Negeri Sembilan royal institution.
Mohd Rais held the position of Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan from 1978 to 1982.
