Kuala Lumpur:The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives finished higher on Friday, following gains in the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the October 2026 contract increased by 9.0 points to 1,622.5, while the November 2026 contract rose by 7.0 points to 1,623.0. The December 2026 contract added 8.0 points to close at 1,629.0, and the March 2027 contract climbed 7.5 points to 1,613.5.

Turnover for the day decreased to 7,770 lots from 10,278 lots the previous day, with open interest contracting to 47,940 contracts from 48,257 contracts before. At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI increased by 0.51 of a point, or 0.03 percent, to 1,630.87, up from Thursday's close of 1,630.36.
