Chery’s LUXEED Vehicles Set for High-Speed Test Drive Event

Guangde:Chery Group's LUXEED brand is preparing for a global media test drive at the Guangde Proving Ground on October 20 as part of the 2026 Chery International User Summit. The event will feature automotive journalists and key opinion leaders from around the world who will evaluate the vehicles' driving dynamics, handling stability, and refinement through a series of tests.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, LUXEED plans to showcase its vehicles' capability by attempting to cruise at speeds exceeding 250 km/h on the proving ground's high-speed banked circuit. This test aims to confirm the vehicles' aerodynamic efficiency and body stability at high speeds.

The event will also include demonstrations of zero to 100 km/h acceleration using LUXEED's One-Touch BOOST function, alongside assessments of braking distance. Handling tests are set to feature a moose test for emergency obstacle-avoidance at speeds over 82 km/h, as well as slalom and skidpad runs.

LUXEED highlighted that the vehicles will exhibit body control and precise tracking during sharp manoeuvres and rapid lane changes, thanks to features like dual-chamber air suspension, dual-valve Continuous Damping Control (CDC), and Vehicle Motion Control (VMC) systems, coupled with rear-wheel steering.

Additionally, the programme will cover intelligent-driving cruising across various scenarios. The company stated that this event will not only highlight the vehicles' driving quality and '5-Star safety design standards,' but it will also serve to reinforce LUXEED's standing as a flagship luxury brand on the global stage.
