Kuala lumpur: The government has agreed to continue the BUDI MADANI: BUDI Agri-Komoditi initiative in a targeted manner to assist smallholders, entrepreneurs, and vulnerable groups who are the backbone of the country's economy. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim highlighted the need for such measures in light of the current challenges faced by the population, including the rising cost of living and global economic uncertainty.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the decision to prolong the initiative was made during the National Economic Action Council (MTEN) Meeting. The meeting included presentations from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ministry of Plantations and Commodities (KPK), focusing on the global supply chain crisis that is increasingly becoming a pressing issue.
Prime Minister Anwar also addressed health security concerns, assuring that the supply of medicines in the country remains stable. The MOH is committed to monitoring challenges related to the stock chain and prices to safeguard the population from the potential impacts of the situation.
Anwar reaffirmed the government's dedication to overcoming future challenges, emphasizing that the MADANI Government will continue to work diligently, act responsibly, and prioritize the welfare of its people.
