Pahang State Government Extends Quit Rent Payment Deadline to June 30

Pahang: The Pahang state government has announced an extension of the 2026 quit rent payment deadline from May 31 to June 30. This decision was confirmed by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, who highlighted the inclusion of a waiver for the 10 percent late payment penalty typically levied on overdue quit rent payments.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the extension accommodates the extended holiday period throughout May, providing the public with additional time and convenience to fulfill their payment responsibilities. Wan Rosdy emphasized that quit rent payment is a crucial duty for every landowner, as the revenue generated supports the state government's initiatives in development programs, infrastructure provision, public service enhancement, and the welfare of Pahang's residents.

Wan Rosdy urged taxpayers to utilize the extension to make timely payments and avoid future enforcement actions. He reiterated the state government's dedication to effective revenue management, which is vital for maintaining Pahang's financial stability and supporting continuous development efforts to benefit the populace.
