Sungai Besi: Royal Military College (MTD) graduates are reminded to always practice noble values ??and show concern for social issues wherever they are. Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) chief General Datuk Mohd Nizam Jaffar stressed the importance of these qualities during the 2024 MTD Graduates’ Annual Parade, attended by 436 students at the MTD Parade Ground, Sungai Besi Main Camp.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, General Mohd Nizam highlighted that society evaluates future leaders not just by their academic credentials but also by their adherence to noble values such as integrity, competence, and courage. “Successful leaders are not only measured in terms of academic achievements but also concern for social issues and commitment to improving the lives of the community,” he stated.
The event also saw the presence of Army chief Gen Datuk Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan and Navy chief Admiral Datuk Zulhelmy Ithnain. General Mohd Nizam took the opportunity to present awards to the outstanding students of the 2024 session. Among the award recipients, Ariff Fikry Aminuddin received the Board of Governors Award, Muhammad Faiz Hazimin Madin was honored with the Director of Studies Award, Muhammad Adif Hakimi Abdul Razak received the Commandant Award, and Myzan Haqiemy Muzainy was awarded the Minister of Defence Award.
Myzan Haqiemy, 18, who was recognized as the best overall student, expressed his ambition to further his studies at Universiti Pertahanan National Malaysia (UPNM) with the goal of becoming the commander of the Armed Forces. He credited his success, including obtaining 9A in the SPM trial examination, to the support of his parents and teachers. In addition to his academic pursuits, Myzan was actively involved in rugby and served as a platoon leader at MTD.
