AirAsia Unveils Fixed-Fare Flights for Festive Seasons, Announces FLYSiswa Voucher Program

Kuala lumpur: AirAsia is offering fixed-fare tickets from Kuala Lumpur to Sarawak at RM328 and to Sabah at RM398 for one-way travel, in conjunction with Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced today. He stated that the initiative is designed to make air travel more accessible and affordable for Malaysians during the festive season.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the fixed-fare initiative will operate 1,578 flights over the Chinese New Year and Hari Raya periods, providing more than 31,000 seats to travelers. Bookings for Chinese New Year travel open today and continue through February 24 for trips from February 13 to 24, 2026. Meanwhile, Hari Raya bookings are available until March 26 for travel between March 18 and 26.

Additionally, Transport Minister Loke highlighted the continuation of the RM400 FLYSiswa voucher program this year, aimed at reducing travel costs for students commuting between Kuala Lumpur and East Malaysia. He announced that the FLYSiswa initiative would commence next week.

Present at the announcement were AirAsia Malaysia CEO, Datuk Captain Fareh Mazputra, and Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia CEO, Datuk Captain Norazman Mahmud. The Ministry of Transport (MOT) stated yesterday that it would host the FLYSiswa 2026 Carnival on January 13 at Universiti Putra Malaysia's Cultural and Arts Centre, from 9 am to 4 pm. Eligible students will receive a digital voucher in the form of shell credit, usable for purchasing economy-class flight tickets with participating airlines, which include Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, Batik Air, Firefly, and MASwings.
