Kuala lumpur: Zetrix AI Bhd posted a higher net profit of RM269.25 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared to RM199.15 million in the same period last year.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company's revenue also increased to RM426.72 million from RM307.90 million a year earlier. Additionally, the board declared a first interim single-tier dividend of 0.25 sen per ordinary share, payable on November 20, 2026.
In its filing with Bursa Malaysia, the digital services and technology company attributed the improved performance to subscriptions and services through its artificial intelligence platforms and fees from Web3 applications via the Zetrix blockchain platform. These applications include the Malaysia Blockchain Infrastructure, ZTrade, ZCert, global voting applications, digital identity registrations and transactions, and sales of Zetrix Layer-1 nodes and tokens.
Zetrix AI expects to continue its blockchain and AI initiatives to drive organic growth for the financial year ending December 31, 2026. The board noted the valuable partnership with the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, which is expected to expedite the global expansion of its blockchain and AI technology.
The company also plans to work alongside the China ASEAN AI Lab, focusing on the integration of Blockchain, AI, and Robotics, with an emphasis on adapting these technologies to local market demands worldwide. The China-ASEAN AI Lab is a Malaysia-China collaboration established by Zetrix AI and China's state-owned Guangxi Beitou IT Innovation Technology Investment Group.
Furthermore, Zetrix AI is exploring the possibility of spinning off projects from the China-ASEAN AI Lab into a new subsidiary, with plans to list it on an international stock exchange such as Nasdaq. Such a listing would enable the company to access a larger pool of global capital, further advancing its goal to become a leading AI company.
The board remains cautiously optimistic about Zetrix AI's long-term outlook and continues to introduce new services in Malaysia and globally, barring any unforeseen circumstances. The company reiterated the declaration of the first interim single-tier dividend of 0.25 sen per ordinary share, payable on November 20, 2026.
