Kuala lumpur: Geohan Corporation Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary Geohan Sdn Bhd has announced the acquisition of a RM37 million contract through a letter of award (LoA) from Chin Hin Property (Segambut) Sdn Bhd, which is a part of Chin Hin Group Property Bhd. The contract involves serving as the specialist contractor for earthworks, piling, and substructure construction for a new high-rise residential development in Mukim Batu, Kuala Lumpur.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the development project will feature two serviced apartment towers with heights of 58 storeys and 55 storeys, comprising a total of 1,546 units. The construction work is expected to be completed by the end of August 2027. This contract elevates Geohan's total contract wins for the year to approximately RM250 million and raises its total outstanding order book to RM457 million.
In the company's financial performance, Geohan reported a 17.7 percent increase in revenue quarter-on-quarter for the second quarter ending June 30, 2026, reaching RM121.8 million, marking its highest quarterly revenue to date. Over the first six months, the company achieved total revenue of RM225.4 million and a profit after tax of RM500,000, despite rising building material costs due to geopolitical tensions.
Geohan's managing director, Lee Kim Seng, expressed a cautious yet optimistic outlook for the company amid industry challenges. He noted that the contracts secured recently, along with a growing pipeline of projects, have bolstered the group's confidence in its future prospects. He emphasized Geohan's resilience and dedication to consistently meeting client expectations and project timelines, even in challenging market conditions.
