YPU Launches Terengganu Digital Business Hub to Empower Local Entrepreneurs

Kuala terengganu: Yayasan Pembangunan Usahawan (YPU) Terengganu has introduced the Terengganu Digital Business Hub, aiming to bolster the digital marketing capabilities of local entrepreneurs and enhance their market presence.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the initiative is expected to assist approximately 500 active digital entrepreneurs registered with YPU in the state. Datuk Ariffin Deraman, the chairman of Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Cooperatives, and Consumer Affairs Committee, highlighted the state government's commitment by investing RM75,000 in the setup of the TikTok Shop Live Studio @ Terengganu Digital Trade Hub, in collaboration with TikTok Shop Malaysia.

During the launch event of the Market Innovation Showcase 2026 and StudioTikTok Shop Live @ Hab Digital Niaga Terengganu at the Terengganu Trade Centre, Ariffin emphasized that this studio will help entrepreneurs in strengthening their brands and mastering digital marketing to reach a broader market. The hub is initially equipped with two studios, operational from 9 am to 6 pm on working days, and can accommodate 10 to 12 entrepreneurs daily.

Ariffin also mentioned plans to extend the operating hours of the studio into the evening, aiming to cater to the needs of entrepreneurs better, with future enhancements in safety measures.
