Youth Empowerment Essential for Navigating Global Changes – PM Anwar

Kuala lumpur: Young Malaysians should be equipped with knowledge, skills, values, and confidence to face an increasingly fast-changing and complex global environment. In his message in conjunction with National Youth Day, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the crucial role of youth in shaping Malaysia's future.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Prime Minister Anwar highlighted that today's youth embody the spirit, idealism, and strength necessary for Malaysia's progress. He expressed his belief that the young generation possesses the courage to think critically, articulate mature views, and drive reforms that will benefit the nation.

The Prime Minister reiterated his government's commitment to expanding opportunities in education, training, employment, and entrepreneurship. This includes enhanced support for gig workers and young entrepreneurs, as outlined in a recent Facebook post by Anwar.

Anwar underscored the importance of a balanced approach, where mastery of knowledge and technology is combined with principles, integrity, and awareness. This, he stated, is essential for building a more competitive and dignified society.

In addition, as part of the government's youth empowerment agenda, Anwar announced an additional RM5 million allocation to the Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) to bolster youth development efforts across the country. He expressed confidence that the spirit, intellect, and determination of the younger generation will be pivotal in elevating Malaysia to a more advanced, just, and respected nation.
