Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on Friday, mirroring the subdued performance in the cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the May 2026 contract decreased by 10.0 points to 1,742.5, while the June 2026 contract declined by 10.5 points to 1,741.5. Additionally, the September 2026 and December 2026 contracts fell by 9.5 points to 1,723.0 and 1,724.5, respectively.
Turnover registered a slight decrease, reaching 5,592 lots compared to 5,600 lots recorded on Thursday. Open interest also saw a reduction, falling to 36,232 contracts from 38,022 contracts previously. At 5 pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) experienced a drop of 5.36 points, or 0.30 percent, closing at 1,740.22 compared to Thursday's close of 1,745.58.
