Kuala lumpur: Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera is inviting applications for its new chief executive officer (CEO) position from today until July 20, to ensure a transparent, structured, and merit-based selection process in line with good governance principles. Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir emphasized the importance of finding a CEO capable of steering strategic direction and reinforcing the foundation's role in developing Bumiputera talent, especially in high-value industries and future-facing jobs.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the chairman of the trustees' board stated that the foundation requires a leader with a strong leadership record and experience in technology, digital transformation, innovation, talent development, corporate strategy, and new growth sectors. This leadership is crucial to prepare Bumiputera talent, particularly youth, for high-skilled, higher-income jobs and to contribute to a high-value economy.
The application for the post is now open following Ibrahim Sani's resignation, effective July 1, 2026. The Board of Trustees of Yayasan Peneraju is seeking a visionary and experienced leader with strong leadership, strategic, and governance credentials to drive the organisation's next stage of growth and transformation.
The Economy Ministry stated that candidates must be Bumiputera aged 35 and above, with a minimum of 10 years' professional experience across multiple industries and roles, including at least five years in senior management or C-suite roles. Applicants must also hold at least a bachelor's degree or a recognized professional or equivalent qualification.
