Kuala lumpur: Yayasan Peneraju (YP) is offering a Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) membership fee rebate in conjunction with its 14th anniversary to assist accounting professionals in paying their annual dues.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, YP stated that the rebate is available to eligible talents and alumni with outstanding repayment arrears. Successful applicants can receive up to RM850 for the 2026 membership fee, which will be deducted from their outstanding balance.
YP chief executive officer Ibrahim Sani highlighted that MIA is a statutory body created under the Accountants Act 1967 to regulate and develop the accounting profession in Malaysia and grant the Chartered Accountant (CA) (Malaysia) designation. The fee rebate aims to encourage YP talents and alumni to pursue CA (Malaysia) status and enhance their professional standing.
Ibrahim Sani explained that the initiative aims to tackle practical barriers during a pivotal phase in an accountant's career, empowering Bumiputera accounting talents to advance confidently while maintaining relevance and value to employers. Additionally, it promotes responsible repayment practices, enabling funds to be recycled for new financing and opportunities for future generations of Bumiputera talent.
To be eligible, applicants must meet MIA's eligibility requirements and YP's rebate criteria by making a minimum repayment of 30 per cent of their outstanding balance or an upfront payment of RM2,000. YP noted that the rebate is restricted to one application per applicant.
Interested talents and alumni can apply for the MIA membership fee rebate by sending an email to [email protected].
