George town: The Yayasan Kita Anak Malaysia has extended its support to more than 300,000 students across the nation, including high achievers, orphans, and those from underprivileged backgrounds, since its inception five years ago. This initiative aims to provide continuous assistance to students in need, ensuring that no one is left behind in their educational journey.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the foundation's founder and chairman, H. Puvaniten, highlighted that the total contributions have reached millions of ringgit. These contributions include incentives for students who achieve excellent examination results and those with high CGPAs in both public and private higher education institutions. The financial support is provided in cash to encourage educational pursuits and academic excellence.
During the Yayasan Kita Anak Malaysia Jalinan Kasih Programme, officiated by Penang Housing and Environment Committee chairman Datuk Seri S. Sundarajoo, Puvaniten shared that approximately 35,000 students in Penang have received various forms of educational assistance from the foundation. Additionally, the foundation extends its support to other groups, such as the elderly, underprivileged families, and asnaf children in need.
Puvaniten emphasized that the foundation is committed to developing a comprehensive education ecosystem by collaborating with higher education institutions, industry players, and government agencies. This approach aims to ensure inclusive, sustainable, and impactful development aligned with future national needs, focusing not only on academic excellence but also on character development, leadership, and student well-being.
