YaPEIM Sets Ambitious RM70 Million Target for 2026 Infak Year Initiative

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (YaPEIM) has unveiled an ambitious plan to raise RM70 million in infak (charity) donations in 2026. This initiative, part of the 2026 Infak Year, aims to enhance the foundation's role in managing infak funds across the country.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Dr. Zulkifli Hasan, emphasized that the initiative is designed to increase participation from both individuals and corporations. The goal is to cultivate a more structured and impactful culture of infak giving.

Dr. Zulkifli expressed confidence in achieving the target, highlighting the significant contributions made by YaPEIM in education and socioeconomics, as well as in fostering entrepreneurship. He noted that YaPEIM not only facilitates donations but also enhances the economic capacity of Muslims.

The YaPEIM Infak Year is described as a strategic effort to revive the culture of infak giving and support the sustainable development of the nation's social funding ecosystem. Dr. Zulkifli praised YaPEIM as a leader in both intellectual contributions and practical implementation, aligning with the foundation's mission to lead a humane economy.

The foundation is committed to expanding contributor participation, building stakeholder confidence, and ensuring that each contribution has a measurable impact. Dr. Zulkifli also referenced the Prime Minister's emphasis on delivering mercy, justice, and sustainability through the Islamic economy, noting YaPEIM's steps to strengthen its business and initiatives.

The launch of the YaPEIM 2026 Infak Year also aligns with its objective to become the leading infak institution in the nation by increasing donations, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding programs nationwide. This effort is aimed at building a sustainable, inclusive, and effective infak ecosystem to support the socio-economic development of Muslims.
