Kuala lumpur: Amanah Raya Bhd (AmanahRaya) has appointed Datuk Seri Dr Vaseehar Hassan Abdul Razack as its chairman. AmanahRaya acting group managing director and chief business and operating officer Jack Yap Ngee Heong expressed optimism about the appointment, highlighting the benefits expected from Vaseehar's leadership.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Yap stated that Vaseehar's extensive experience in various financial sectors would offer valuable guidance to the board and management. He emphasized the importance of Vaseehar's strategic insight in driving sustainable growth, enhancing governance, and increasing stakeholder value, while maintaining a focus on the needs of Malaysians.

Vaseehar brings over forty years of experience in banking, investment banking, Islamic finance, corporate governance, board leadership, and executive coaching. His contributions have been significant in the development of Malaysia's Islamic banking sector. Vaseehar is also active on the boards of Ingress Corporation Bhd and Saturna Sdn Bhd. Additionally, he serves as a senior associate at the Kets de Vries Institute in London and an executive coach at the INSEAD Executive Centre.
