Kuala lumpur: Univar Solutions LLC (Univar Solutions) has announced the acquisition of Interpur Chemicals, a leading distributor of polyurethanes and powder coatings in Europe. This strategic move aims to expand Univar Solutions' Performance Materials business and enhance its regional capabilities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the acquisition significantly boosts its technical capabilities and strengthens its ability to support customers by providing improved access to materials, ensuring supply continuity, and offering advanced formulation expertise. "This acquisition marks an important milestone for our performance materials business as we respond to growing customer demand for the essential products that enable modern, high-performance applications," stated Matthew Oliver, Univar Solutions' senior vice president of Performance Materials. He emphasized that expanding into high-demand markets and applications enhances the company's ability to support customers at the formulation and application level.

Univar Solutions boasts over a century of experience in chemical and ingredient distribution, whereas Interpur Chemicals has more than 20 years of expertise in supplying chemical raw materials and technical consultancy for the polyurethane, resins, and powder coating industries. Through this transaction, 18 employees from Interpur Chemicals will join Univar Solutions, ensuring continuity for customers, suppliers, and business partners.
