Kuala lumpur: UUE Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Konnection Engineering Pte Ltd, has secured a RM67.3 million contract from Wee Guan Construction Pte Ltd, marking its largest order win in Singapore to date. The contract involves the supply and installation of 230 kilovolt power cables, auxiliary cables, and accessories, including the installation of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes using the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) method. The project, with SP PowerAssets Ltd as the principal, is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, UUE stated that this latest win lifts its order book to an all-time high of RM521.9 million, providing strong earnings visibility over the next two to three years. The total year-to-date contract wins have exceeded RM362 million. This achievement underscores UUE’s proven capabilities in delivering solutions for Singapore’s utility infrastructure projects.
UUE managing director Datuk Dr Ting Kok Hwa mentioned that the company’s job scope has now expanded to a full-scale role, covering the provision of materials, labor, and equipment, compared with the smaller HDD service packages secured previously. He added that the planned expansion of their in-house HDPE pipe manufacturing arm is progressing on track to support their growing market share. With Singapore’s construction sector remaining vibrant, UUE believes it is well-positioned to accelerate its operational growth in the country.
