Kuala Lumpur:Univar Solutions USA LLC has announced an exclusive distribution partnership with CABB Group to expand the distribution of glycolic acid across the United States and Canada through its Ingredients + Specialties division.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this agreement extends an existing partnership between the companies in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to North America. The distribution will include CABB Group's GLYCOS Clear 70 glycolic acid, which is used for personal care and other specialty applications.

Nick Powell, CEO of Univar Solutions' Ingredients + Specialties division, highlighted that the expanded collaboration will bring CABB Group's glycolic acid technologies and expertise to customers across North America, with a focus on beauty and personal care applications.

CABB Group CEO Tobias Schalow noted that Univar Solutions' distribution capabilities and specialty ingredient expertise will enhance the accessibility of the company's glycolic acid technologies in the US and Canada. The glycolic acid is produced using renewable electricity, aligning with the company's sustainability goals while catering to the personal care industry and other specialty markets.

Glycolic acid is valued in cosmetic and skincare formulations for its exfoliating properties, which improve skin appearance and texture. This addition to Univar Solutions' portfolio aligns with their strategy to expand their specialty ingredient offerings in growing markets.

Univar Solutions' Ingredients + Specialties division provides specialty ingredients, formulation expertise, and technical support for various applications, including beauty and personal care, which will now include CABB Group's glycolic acid products through their distribution network across North America.
