Kampung Koh:Two teenage sisters, aged 15 and 18, lost their lives in a devastating fire that engulfed two adjoining double-storey houses in Kampung Koh, near Sitiawan.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received an emergency call at 9.01 am. Firefighters from Sitiawan and Seri Manjung stations, along with the Pantai Remis Volunteer Fire Brigade, arrived at the scene at 9.10 am.

The fire involved two adjoining Class C houses, each measuring 40ft by 70ft, and was nearly 90 percent destroyed when the sisters were found trapped inside. In addition to the homes, four vehicles and a motorcycle were also destroyed by the blaze. The operation to control the fire was completed by 10.30 am.

The department's K9 Special Team was called in to assist with investigations. The bodies of the victims have been transferred to the police and were taken to Teluk Intan Hospital.
